OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR

We are seeking an efficient, energetic, enjoyable person who is digitally adept and can oversee the operations of our front office. 

15 hrs/week

Description

This position involves responsibility and oversight for a wide range of computer, clerical, and office administrative duties to support Burlington Lutheran Church. 

​

Responsibilities

  • Manage front office

  • Design and distribute all church communications, digitally and in print

  • Design, publish, and print worship materials

  • Website design and maintenance 

  • Manage referrals and requests​

  • Maintain and organize church records

  • Process mail

  • Manage phones

  • Troubleshoot IT and other issues as they emerge

  • Be the first point of contact for visitors, phone calls, and email

  • Coordinate logistics for congregational meetings

  • Liase with denominational entities

  • Track and manage annual fees and licenses

  • Schedule and oversee building use

  • Manage the church calendar

  • Create hospitable entryway and office

  • Coordinate with and work alongside BLC volunteers

  • Manage church historical records

Requirements

  • Experience in office administration

  • Ability to work effectively with computers, related software programs, and technology utilized by church operations

  • Experienced in graphic design and adept with Google suite, Word, and Canva

  • Able to communicate effectively verbally, in writing, and comfortable with a wide range of individuals

  • Organized

  • Friendly

  • Ability to self-direct and self-pace to set priorities, goals, and tasks to accomplish assigned duties.

  • ​Maintains strict confidentiality

  • Understands church culture

  • Social media savvy

  • Familiar with video editing

  • Speaks Spanish

Compensation

$18-20/hr DOE
